Metamorphosis
Watch the teaser for Metamorphosis, an original story that will shake up how we talk about mental health in the Latinx Community. It stars Candy Santana, Sandy Hernandez, and Christopher Rivas.
Director’s Note
Having a background in gender studies and works in the deconstruction of toxic masculinity as well as women empowerment, I feel it is indispensable to tell this story through a female gaze.
Without falling into victimization, it seems to me that it’s only fair to provoke the audience with the perilous consequences of gaslighting yet demonstrate that our destiny can have a positive outcome with the right emotional tools and support net.
This story also gave me the creative space to build visual parallel worlds of reality and psychosis to enhance further the subliminal messages of mental health struggles with the help of dramatic lighting, stunning locations, and glamorous characters.
